01 The brief

McCormick needed to introduce Cholula, the hot sauce born from a 100-year-old family recipe in Jalisco, Mexico, and show where it fits in the family: its story, what makes it different, and when to reach for it.

02 Our approach

Vibrant, fast and colorful, the way the script called for it. Bold kinetic type over food and archival footage, built in Cholula's reds and yellows, moving from the origin story to the brand today.

03 What we made

A two-and-a-half-minute animated sizzle: the recipe made for the famed José Cuervo family by a beloved cook known as La Chila, Cholula's arrival in the U.S. in 1989 by way of Austin, the árbol and piquín peppers, no added sugar, and a cult brand that grew into a global one.
